course (run by the Fencing Academy), is the only
well structured course around with a defined syllabus, leading to
exams and certificates.
Since 1996, this original course has produced wave after wave
of quality fencers. This course is run by the Maestro himself making for a great learning experience. This course runs only once every three months and is very popular. Make sure you don't miss the next date and book early.

For beginners
This course is the natural progression for those who have just completed the absolute beginner course and would like to continue. The course runs over 8 hours on one day with intervals.
For ex-fencers
This course is also ideal if you are coming back
after a break from fencing or if you started fencing elsewhere.
Unless you have been fencing recently for a period of 18 months, you
will find club sessions too hard.
This course will act as a refresher course for you and bring you up to speed with the level
needed to continue.
How is this course run
The fencing experience begins right here. This course is very inclusive and you learn a lot. This one day course covers four workshops. Each workshop consists of two hours of practice and theory and includes a 30 minute break. Summary of workshops:
(1) Revision of what you have learnt and footwork.
(2) Blade work: Offensive, defensive and preparation actions of the blade.
(3) The rules and conventions of the game.
(4) The full fencing bout and duelling.
